Исследование рассматривает связь битвы с кометой Галлея и Карлом Марксом, а также участие Алеши Поповича и роль реки Калки в судьбе темника Мамая.

The Battle of the Kalka River in 1223 marked the first encounter between the Russian principalities and the Mongol-Tatars. Despite its inclusion in mandatory educational curricula, many aspects of this event remain subjects of historical debate. Uncertainty exists regarding the precise location of the battle, as the Kalka River is not found on modern maps. Discussions even extend to the year of the battle, the size of the forces involved, and the routes taken by the opposing sides. This study examines potential connections between the battle and Halley's Comet, as well as Karl Marx, the participation of the Russian hero Alyosha Popovich, and the role of the Kalka River in the fate of the Mongol general Mamai.
