Civilization rapidly descended into a second dark age, a speed unforeseen by even the most pessimistic futurists. By Halloween, major cities worldwide were devastated, and the world as it was known became a memory. This event, known as The Pulse, was carried by every cell phone globally. Within hours, those receiving calls became infected. Artist Clayton Riddell witnesses the unfolding catastrophe and flees the burning ruins of Boston, desperately trying to reach his son before he turns on his mobile phone.
