In September 1957, Sylvia Patterson is among the first Black students chosen to integrate Central High School. The decision to integrate faces resistance from the town's citizens and the governor of Arkansas. Amidst smoldering racial tensions, Sylvia must decide whether to attend. She witnesses the town's unrest ignite into conflict, realizing that change is inevitable and her generation must drive it forward.
