Vera Pavlovna Frolova, 2024
This book contains the diary entries of Vera Pavlovna Frolova, written during her captivity in Germany from 1944 to 1945. In the preface to the first edition, the author recalls being deported with her mother from a suburb of Leningrad to Germany at age 17, where they became "Ostarbeiter" (Eastern laborers). These records, partly written on fertilizer packaging, serve as an eyewitness account of a 20th-century tragedy. This volume includes the third and fourth parts of the diary, covering the final years of the war.
