This work explores the development of early Christology within the context of the Greco-Roman world. By examining Jesus alongside representative figures like Philo and Plutarch, it analyzes how early accounts of Jesus related to existing religious expressions. The study also considers various intermediary figures from ancient Judaism and Greco-Roman religion. It highlights both the points of convergence and divergence between these traditions and the emerging Christian narrative.
