Police commissioner Sabina Nemez is surprised to meet a nun at the BKA headquarters who wishes to confess to a crime. She insists on speaking only to Nemez's colleague, Martin S. Sneider, who has recently resigned. Nemez must step in and hears the nun's chilling declaration: she will commit seven murders within the next seven days, remaining silent about her motives and methods. The nun is detained, but the BKA is thrown into chaos when Nemez cannot prevent the first murder. It soon becomes apparent that an exceptionally sophisticated plan is unfolding, one that intrigues Sneider.
