The second volume of the planned series “Lived or Served on the Petrograd Side” presents a collection of essays about individuals who lived, worked, or created in the historic Petrograd (St. Petersburg) district. It explores the lives of cultural and political figures such as Feofan Prokopovich, Vladimir Lenin, Maxim Gorky, Sergei Witte, Fyodor Shalyapin, Ivan Pavlov, Matilda Kshesinskaya, and Alexander Blok, highlighting their contributions to the city and the nation.
