Finlay Armstrong, a hotel chain owner, avoids Christmas due to a past tragedy. His life takes a turn after meeting Grace Ellis, a hotel maid. To distract her from memories of losing her grandmother, he invites her to spend Christmas at his Scottish castle. Grace also tries to help Finlay find himself again. Cut off from the world by snow, they celebrate by the fireplace, realizing they are falling in love. The story explores their journey from a magical escape back to reality.
