Произведение сшито из четырех пространств и времен, начиная с ностальгического поселка Руха на эстонском побережье в семидесятых годах. История переносится через Таллинн рубежа семидесятых-восьмидесятых и начало девяностых, охватывая скрытую и явную жестокость советской эпохи и «дикого капитализма». Повествование завершается в нашем времени, в не-существующей стране и эпохе без перемен.

The novel "I Am Not Afraid of Bluebeard" explores the "Brezhnev generation," whose childhood and adolescence occurred during the era of stagnation. The work is woven from four spaces and times, beginning with the nostalgic settlement of Ruha on the Estonian coast in the seventies. The story moves through Tallinn at the turn of the seventies and eighties and the early nineties, encompassing the hidden and overt cruelties of the Soviet era and "wild capitalism." The narrative concludes in the present day, in a non-existent country and an era of no change.
