Few children are not fascinated by stories about prehistoric animals that roamed the earth millions of years ago. The children's artist and writer Nikita Evgenievich Charushin had a wonderful idea to create vivid images of animals from the distant past, accompanying them with short explanatory texts. Having done a great deal of preliminary work, he brilliantly accomplished his task: the "unseen animals" are shown by him as if the artist sees them with his own eyes.
