Gabriel Noone, a popular late-night radio storyteller, receives the manuscript of a memoir from a sickly thirteen-year-old boy. The manuscript details the sexual abuse the boy suffered at the hands of his parents. When Noone contacts the boy, it becomes apparent that the child sees the middle-aged storyteller as the father figure he always desired. This connection forms the core of their evolving relationship.
