In a high school that can feel like a battlefield or a sanctuary, the fate of the protagonists depends on who stands beside them. Ksyusha Voinova is angry at the world and trusts only her best friend, the only person who makes her feel safe. Sasha Chigarev suffers from night terrors and an unrequited love for his classmate. Though they try to remain each other's closest confidants, that bond is no longer enough for at least one of them.
