In 1974, photographer Steve Kahn embarked on a series of striking black-and-white Polaroids. Initially focusing on porn industry models in Hollywood apartments, the project evolved over three years into "The Hollywood Suites." Kahn shifted his attention to the environments, deconstructing the mundane surroundings of his subjects. This conceptual work delves into themes of containment, isolation, and the poetics of absence, offering a unique perspective on staged photography and portraiture.
