This story captures a young bear's experience of his first autumn. He is initially surprised by the falling leaves and attempts to return them to the trees, without success. Eventually, the bear grows sleepy and finds a cozy spot among the fallen leaves for a long nap. Upon waking, he discovers it is spring, and new leaves have appeared, welcoming him back.
