Against the backdrop of ancient Jerusalem, with its temple and narrow streets, a love story unfolds. The prophet Jeremiah suffers, witnessing foreign sacrifices and the crowd's ecstasy. The marketplace bustles with the voices of merchants and buyers as Babylonian troops advance, threatening the small nation.
