Fae are cruel beings from the magical realm of Avarat, a world of beauty and peril. For centuries, the people of Alderia have had no contact with them, until the birth of Delfina, a cursed girl. On her twenty-first birthday, she is captured by a fairy prince and taken to Avarat. There, Delfina attempts to escape the attention of four rulers who show a keen interest in her. The fairy courts are fading, their people disappearing, and Delfina may hold the key to their salvation, though the price could be immense.
